Globe recently completed the fabrication of three carbon steel pipe vessels that will all be used in a gas compressor station in Pennsylvania. The painted 48’’ OD x 5/8” wall vessel on the left is a Refrigerant Accumulator. The 42’’ OD x 5/8” thick insulated vessel on the right is a Refrigerant Economizer and the smaller vessel is a 24’’ x ½“ wall Interstage Scrubber. Both the 42’’ and 24’’ vessels have 304/L stainless internal Mist Extractors installed in them.
Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) and submerged arc welding (SAW) were all weld processes used in fabricating these vessels. All three carbon steel vessels were designed and fabricated per ASME Section VIII, 2013 Edition and registered with the National Board in January of 2015.
Globe is proud of all the men and women involved in the fabrication of these carbon steel pipe vessels. Their efforts support America’s continued pursuit of domestic energy independence which will lead to economic growth and job creation. Globe continues to work diligently to aid in that effort.
